Oxford Construction Company’s Asphalt and Aggregate Division has four GA DOT approved Hot Plant Mix Asphalt plants located in Albany, Bainbridge, Blakely, and Lumpkin, Georgia. These four facilities produce up to 500,000 tons of Hot Plant Mix Asphalt each year.

In operation since 2011, the Rockville plant supplies Montgomery and Prince Georges counties, and the surrounding areas, with high-quality asphalt and aggregate products. Our operation meets minority contract requirements. The Rockville plant produces: Up to 300 tons of asphalt per hour
Concrete batch, asphalt batch, and rock and aggregate plants can pose dust and particulate matter (PM10) problems due to the type and size of the materials being used for the processes. Hot mix asphalt batch plants may also pose an odor nuisance from the heating of materials.
Hot mix asphalt (HMA) paving materials are a mixture of size-graded, high quality aggregate (which can include reclaimed asphalt pavement [RAP]), and liquid asphalt cement, which is heated and mixed in measured quantities to produce HMA. Aggregate and RAP (if used) constitute over 92 percent by weight of the total mixture.
2020/10/20· Gravel is an asphalt aggregate. A hot mix asphalt (HMA), which is typically used for roads and parking lots, is as much as 95 percent asphalt aggregate by weight. The majority of aggregate in the mix is usually coarse, or large in size, followed by crushed stone and gravel. The remaining aggregate is composed of fillers, such as sand.
Aggregate quarry features are symbolized by aggregate material types; asphalt plant and concrete plant features are each symbolized by plant owner/name.
